Useful customizations: (1) overgrips for tack and small diameter changes, (2) frame protectors for scrapes, (3) small custom-weight plates when you already like the mold but want a touch more tip mass, (4) Hesacore when a standard handle feels skinny after long sessions. Skip stacking every accessory “because pros do.”

Weights and cushion grips change feel. They do not turn a beginner round into a finishing diamond, and they do not heal tennis elbow by themselves.

Wrong mold entirely → change racket first (Finder / How to Choose). Slippery handle → overgrip. Skinny handle shape → consider Hesacore after a try. Tip feels soft on put-aways but mold is otherwise right → small custom weights, then re-check balance. Scrapes → protector.

Rim weights raise swingweight and tip bias. Hesacore changes effective handle geometry (cushion channels), not foam core. Overgrips are thin consumable wraps. Protectors add rim mass as a side effect.
